   It is a good idea and easy to install and use. The holder is not fitting my shower head well, which is a little bit smaller. I am disappointed with it because I can’t find a replacement filter for this product. I did ask AquaCare, and they have no response for my question. Therefore, what’s the point of their statement of “world’s most advanced shower filter”? No replacement filter can be bought which means the whole product needs to be replaced again.

   I absolutely thought this AquaCare Skin & Hair – World’s Most Advanced Shower Filter for Hand Showers came with the hand shower attachment! I was irritated when it arrived without the actual hand shower head, so went back to the sales description, and realized why I made the assumption…. very misleading pictures, and description-not cool! Anyway, I finally got a shower head, and set it up. I like the bypass option, and it works about the same as every other shower filter I’ve used. I’m not necessarily into the extra piece sticking out, I prefer the filters that are built into the handheld.

   Upon reading some of the other reviews, it was mentioned by two different reviewers that there is no where to order replacement cartridges. This is completely false. All I did was google it and they came right up on several different platforms. And as far as getting it to fit with other hand held showerheads, they are all the same size, universal fit. Even ones that go in RVs. So I dont know what that’s all about. And all these fixtures require plumbers tape if you dont want them to leak. To think its just going to screw together and not leak when pressure is involved is foolish.
   As mentioned in the post, the useless beads method is lame, and I have found that there is a noticable difference in the purity and softness of the water when using filter. Based on my research, I have conclusively found that the negative statements made about this product is misinformation or just downright false. I highly recommend this product~!

   I’ve heard complaints from my family for a while about our hard and heavily chlorinated water. When I saw this product, I thought I’d try it. When it arrived, it seemed simple and well-built. Before I mounted it, I read the instructions and familiarized myself with removing the filter. While doing so, I was impressed by this device’s solid feel and positive controls. Then I installed it. Although the instructions say no tools are needed, like all plumbing jobs, this proved not to be the case. I removed the old shower connection and wand holder and then replaced them with this filtered housing. I hand-tightened it, just like the instructions stated. Of course, it leaked. This was not the unit’s fault. It was the fault of my old plumbing. I applied white tape to the threads on the shower pipe and tried again. While I fixed the leak on the wand connection, the shower pipe still leaked a little. I could have stopped there, because such a leak is harmless as it only drips into the shower during operation. However, I hate leaks. Using extreme caution, I tightened the housing onto the shower pipe with a wrench. I only recommend this to experienced DIY types or plumbers because it is VERY easy to break fixtures when you do this. However, I stopped the leak, and all was well. The unit was correctly installed, and I allowed a few days of use before I reviewed this device. Well, my family reports improved shampooing and skin feel, so this filter must be considered a win. Recommend! A nice device.

   The AquaCare Skin & Hair Shower Filter seems to work great.

   I live in an area with very mineral based water, and after attaching this to my shower, I can feel a difference in the water quality. The unit was simple to install and the filter inserts easily.

   Why 3 stars? I did send a message to the company asking them how to purchase replacement filters when the time comes, and I never got a response back. This is a big deal, because otherwise the unit will be useless after the current filter needs replacement. I looked in their AquaCare store and see a filter replacement but it doesn’t look the same, and its hard to say that it will work. All of this should be clarified.
   Also, this was my mistake, but I thought the shower handle came with the filter – that it was a whole system. It might be good to also clarify this in the ad for people like me who make assumptions.

   Been using this for a few months and I do feel like I’m not shedding hair as quickly. I also did a taste test of the water vs. tap and it was noticeably less hard, although I do live in an area with quite hard water.

   The Hand Shower Filter is a good bathroom water filter accessory. It’s made well with a durable heavy-duty material. The bracket contains the removable water filter cartridge, of which can easily be replaced. After install the product, the part holding the filter was a bit difficult to open. But, after getting a good grip on the bracket, removal and reinstalling the filter cover happened effortlessly. Operating the device went accordingly to the instructions, the filter appears to be working.
